Welcome

By providing campus climate related points of comparison between schools CEI helps prospective students, staff, and faculty find schools where they can focus on academics instead of climate problems. CEI also helps institutions learn about potential campus climate improvements and benchmark themselves.

CEI was started with a focus on LGBT campus climate but firmly believes that campus climate for all groups is interconnected. To that end, climate factors for gender, disability, and ethnicity are also be included. Furthermore, admission, academic, student affairs, and alumni factors are used to develop a narrative of overall campus climate.

Your thoughts on what to include next are welcome.

Law School Fellowship

Hofstra University School of Law in New York has created a fellowship for students who advocate for LGBT rights. They call their effort "unprecedented" and it is. The fellowship (announced here), is the only law school LGBT scholarship that I know of. It is open to students of all sexual orientations and there are up to 3 first year students picked for the fellowship program each year.
